Bonus Post: Slap Bet

From B's mom:
When I got to daycare, I found out that B had gotten his first time out yesterday for.....wait for it......CLIMBING!  Apparently he's as much of a monkey over there as he is at home.  They said every time they turned around he had climbed up on something else and he was going to hurt himself.  So, they sat him on the couch for a minute.  S said she wished she hadn't been feeding a baby because she would have loved to get a picture.  He just slouched down on the couch, belly hanging out of his shirt like a big old redneck and watched TV for a minute with a sulk on his face.  They're not sure if he realized he was sitting down because he had been climbing or not, but they only had to do it once, so I guess it got through at least a little.  And then he got into a slapping match...ah, so proud.  But, in B's defense, T did hit him first.  Apparently this is a phase T is going through, largely brought on by his older sister who smothers him with attention/bossiness.  She likes to play Dora the Explorer with him and makes him be Swiper each time.  So every time he picks up a toy, she yells "Swiper, no swiping" and takes it away from him.  I guess he has gotten fed up and has starting swinging when someone takes something away from him.
Let me explain the slapping match, at least how I understand it. B and T were playing together on the floor. The babysitter turned around in time to see T slap B's hand. We're guessing B probably swiped a toy from T. B looked down at his hand and gave T an "Oh no you didn't!" look just before giving T a slap back. I believe at this point it turned into a cyclone of back and forth slaps, but you never know. B's mom and I are both glad that B stood up for himself, and not glad that he swiped a toy and hit another kid. I think they're just working on their own slap bet.
